EUR-Lex developments: 02/2016

In February 2016, a new version of EUR-Lex went online. It includes technical updates mainly affecting expert users and web service users.

More concretely, the EUR-Lex table used for defining the document types has changed. The update brings harmonisation and significant improvements to the facets. In terms of display, the changes are visible, for example, in the field "Form" in the result list, in the dropdown menu for "Other types of acts" in the advanced search form and in the "By type of act" facet group. Additionally, expert users may have to take into account changes for the metadata FM, FM_CODED and FM_DECODED.

Finally, your saved searches or RSS feeds using the above metadata have been updated in order to use the equivalent new codes or labels.

Web service users have already been informed of the need to update their web service client applications.
