EUR-Lex developments: April 2024

This new EUR-Lex release includes mainly technical updates and fixes.

It also adds the following features.

A new document descriptor linked to the Digital Markets Act

Following the adoption of the Digital Markets Act (DMA), which aims to make the markets in the digital sector fairer and more contestable, a new document descriptor was created: DMA.

DMA documents fall under category 5, preparatory acts. They are summaries of DMA decisions provided by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition.

Document descriptors are used to build Celex numbers, unique identifiers assigned to most documents on EUR-Lex.

We have added this new descriptor to our table showing the Types of documents on EUR-Lex.

A new look for the homepage banners

Our homepage banners have a new colour scheme, with icons and titles to show you what kind of news we are highlighting in each banner.

The blue 'law in focus' banners will guide you to new legal documents published on EUR-Lex.

The pink 'what's new' banners will tell you about developments on the EUR-Lex website.

The green 'rediscover EUR-Lex' banners will guide you to tips on how to use existing EUR-Lex features.

We have also made some technical improvements so that the banners will be easier to view from your mobile.

A new menu for EUR-Lex developments

The left menu of the EUR-Lex developments section has changed. Instead of years and months, you can now see the page titles in the left menu, making it easier to browse.
